Mark Martin has guest hosted with me several times a year for well over 20+ years. I have covered almost all of the Ice Fishing Vacation Schools & outdoor-writer media events during that time. I have witnessed & filmed many a student go from having no confidence to catching fish & limits of fish before the school was finished (including my own son). The decades we have shared the outdoors together has been very educational & exciting to both my audiences & myself. My suggestion is if you really want to learn in the shortest amount of time about fishing this is the place to come & learn the game !!!!

Bob Garner - TV Host & Producer
With over 30 years in the TV business & a Few decades in the MI government has allowed me to really experience our great State of Michigan both from the inside & outside. Working with some really neat people along the way & Mark Martin is one of them, we meet at a Michigan -Out-Of-Doors banquet some 30 some years ago & been great friends ever since. Having great times on camera & off both fishing & hunting across both the upper & lower Peninsula with our friends & family. Mark & I talked about schools & media events that would increase the knowledge of the outdoors for the people that love the outdoors. But did not have the time that it takes to make all the mistakes necessary to get better @ it & still keep their day job. So we together brainstormed this Fishing Vacation School concept over 20 years ago & it has definitely been of great help bringing his knowledge of the outdoors in a school setting to the public, so they to can become successful. I will tell everyone right now every-time I have spent time with Mark I have learned something & that is something considering we have know each other for over 30 years!
Brian Whitens - TV Producer 'Real Outdoors' - email@example.com
I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. For me, the best place to be at home is outside the house. I have been videographer, editor and producer of a nationally broadcast television show called Real Outdoors for several years and am now the same for Upper Michigan’s Discovering program. What qualifiies me for doing what I do comes more from time spent in the outdoors than from any knowledge of cameras or computers. The value of knowing your way around a camera doesn’t compare to the value of knowing your way around the outdoors. Cameras and television serve only as a means of sharing with and enlightening others to the wonders and possibilities the outdoors holds in store.

In 2014, his dreams of growing from a web based show into a Television program became a reality.
Chris’ most memorable fishing experience was with his late Great Grandfather. He was 5 years old and would be up before daybreak with his Great Grandfather to hit a family owned lake in Antrim County, Michigan. With a cane pole and a can of worms they would target big spawning bluegills. Since then Chris has expanded his fishing from warm water to cold water species and lives to chase silver bullets.
